The name of the house and estate derive from San Bartolomeo at Bacialla, also known as La Badiola and from which there still exists a parish.
The stone built farmhouse was once used for the farmers of the area but in 1975 the present owners purchased the house and estate. Both the 260 sqm main house and annex were restored and a swimming pool and garage were added.
