Villa Scala lies in the little and characteristic village of Scala, close to the town of Ravello and the villa has only been partially restored with the first floor being habitable and comprising of an entrance hall, bathroom, bedroom, large living room and access to the loft space which has a further bedroom. The first floor terrace is approximately 20sqm in size and from here one can view the town of Ravello and the sea.
Ravello is perched high on the cliffs above Amalfi and is famous for its views and gardens. The town was once part of the Republic of Amalfi but is now a peaceful historic village. The gardens of Villa Cimbrone
and Villa Rufolo
are a fantastic way to while away an afternoon as you can wander through these gardens, enjoying the different scents of the tropical flowers and plants as well as enjoying the fabulous coastal views. Also Ravello boasts an impressive cathedral and has all the local amenities that one needs, including restaurants, bars, cafès and shops. Only a short drive away is the famous centre of Amalfi, therefore all needs can be met.
The restoration element of the villa are the two lower floors of the villa and two ruins which can be found in the grounds of the villa. The total area that needs to be restored is approximately 270sqm.
The grounds of the villa are located in front of the villa and are approximately 8000sqm in size and with in the grounds one can find an independent mini apartment. This apartment comprises of a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom and has access to the gardens. As the grounds of the villa are quite large there is also the potential, if desired, to create a tennis court and build a swimming pool.
