Although the integrity of the building must be maintained, there is lots of room for creativity in the internal configuration of the home.
The present owners have already drawn up plans of a possible layout with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, kitchen, dining, sitting room and library. Of course, this was based on personal taste and can still be altered if desired. The annex can provide further accommodation as a guest cottage or pool house. Because of the state of the property, all services will need to be installed during the restoration. Water by a well, heat by gas, septic system, telephone and electrics are all utilities that can be implemented as the home is made habitable.
With views at 360°, the creation of a garden is half of the excitement. The sun reaches the property all day, therefore the positioning of a swimming pool and terraces for outdoor living really depends on personal taste.
The main village for amenities is in Mercatale Valdarno and here one will find food markets, a bakery, a butcher, coffee shops and all other essentials. Wider shopping choices can be found in the larger town of Montevarchi and of course, Florence is about 40 minutes away for all the culture, art, entertainment and shopping that one could ask for!
The views are what make this property special. I feel like I am standing on top of the world with views that stretch all around me. With plans in place and permissions obtained, the owner has everything ready to start a restoration immediately. With the documents in place and our restoration team ready to help, Rembici is a great choice. Not many projects are available in these areas and the documentation set is always a bonus.
My Thoughts: If you have been looking for a home in Italy but can not find the layout you want or the finish that reflects your taste, then perhaps you should create instead of undoing and renovating someone else's work. Rembici gives you the opportunity to build the perfect home using original materials and authentic architecture combined with modern day standards. If you want to be within walking distance to a town, perhaps this is not the right project but if you want views, space and a sense of exclusive privacy, Rembici is one to consider.
