With a lovely view overlooking vines and rolling hills, Casa Bossi is a wonderful example of Tuscan restoration with the a modern twist. I leave the car just outside the property, in the parking canopy and take a quick stroll across the garden,and enjoying the fabulous Chianti view of rolling hills, vines and restored Tuscan farmhouses.
The owner opens up the three doors that lead into the ground floor and the warm sunshine floods this entire area brilliantly displaying the old arches and fantastic authentic exposed beams. This floor holds the kitchen/dining area, sitting room and foyer. Upstairs, I find a double bedroom, a bathroom and a large master en suite room. Beautiful beams and terracotta floors adorn this floor as well while that bathrooms are modern and spacious. The mansard floor is access from the main hall and here I find a wonderful display of beam work. The present owners have created a lovely children's room and play area in this mansard. A skylight ensures that this area is light and airy.
Back outside, I sit in the garden and enjoy the breathtaking view. The 1000 sqm of garden is ample space for those who would like to install a swimming pool. All services are in excellent working order and amenities can be found in the near by town of Pianella. Castelnuovo Berardenga is a mere 15 minutes away and here one will find various shops, cafés, enotecas and excellent restaurants. The area around Bossi is known for its' rich vegetation, vines and soft rolling hills. With its centuries-old trees, its fossil beds, and richly varied native vegetation, this unique spot has always aroused curiosity, even in remote times, and experts have studied its characteristics.

My Thoughts: Casa Bossi is a beautifully restored home in the heart of Chianti with all of the typical Tuscan characteristics and high modern standards. The view is beautiful and spans across smooth rolling hills of vines. Although attached on a small portion, the hamlet where the home is located remains quite and small with only four other family homes. This is an ideal home for those who want the Tuscan dream with out being too secluded and with out the hassle of maintaining large amounts of land.
